(5.3cm tall) Here is an elemental being of autumn, a gnome of falling leaves, swirling winds, first frosts, and glittering stars above. It hopes to help us remember how to truly look at the world around us, but also how to slow down and rest as the year moves into the quieter times. Sometimes the most simple things are the most difficult.
It is made of stoneware and has been fired once, glazed, and then raku fired with natural wood shavings for the amazing effects of smoke and flame.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with only natural materials.
