(4.5cm tall and 3.2cm wide, violet & mauve) I had the idea for these little hanging sculptures in the middle of the night. They're very smooth, shaped to be held in the hand, and I find them so calming. Each one does also have a little spirit in, I think, because they definitely all have their own character. And each one has a sandalwood bead for the calming and grounding effects sandalwood carries with it.
This sculpture is strung on a cord made from natural, European-grown hemp. The sculpture itself is made of stoneware, glazed in non-toxic glaze, and raku fired with natural wood shavings for the amazing gifts of smoke and flame.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with only non-toxic material.
