(3.9cm tall) Here is another sweet and gentle little kodama kami nature spirit. This one feels full of the peace of trees, and I think it would like to help us reconnect to that tranquility in our own lives too. It would be wonderful as a friend or guardian spirit and could also live on a nature table or Shinto shrine. And this one is extra special because it's rain raku! Those little spiderweb patterns in the glaze are where raindrops fell on the sculpture when the glaze was still vitrifying. Natural magic!
It has been fired once, glazed with non-toxic glaze, and then raku fired with natural wood shavings for the amazing effects of smoke and flame.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with only natural materials.
