(3.2cm tall) Here is a sweet and gentle little Jizo sculpture who feels like the magic and peace of clouds and sunset. It's like a little hug when you need one and a reminder that it's ok sometimes just to look up at the sky and watch the clouds go past while the sun goes to bed.
This Jizo made of stoneware clay, fired once, glazed in non-toxic glaze, and then raku fired for the beautiful effects of smoke and flame.
Jizo is a Japanese Shinto spirit, a kami who found his way to Japan through Buddhism. He is a guardian of women, children, and travellers; he comforts us through grief and bereavement.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with natural materials.
(I am happy to combine postage on all items. Please either message me before you order and I can create a custom listing, or just order and I'll refund any excess postage fees. Thank you!)
