(6.4cm tall) This nature guardian feels quite intense. It knows that things are bad and it knows that we desperately need to fix them. But it also knows that we need help. I think it's here to help us be both strong and gentle, with the world and with ourselves, and to help bring us back to nature. It would be lovely for a nature table, Shinto kamidana shrine, for shamanism, or any kind of nature worship.
It has been fired once, glazed, and then raku fired with natural wood shavings for the amazing effects of smoke and flame.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with only natural materials.
