Tiny Jizo of winter forests | Shinto shrine pocket hope talisman
€12.00
(1.9cm tall) Here is a little Shinto Jizo pocket talisman of the peace and calm of winter forests. Of stillness, but also of life. This little one would be lovely for a kamidana or shrine.
Jizo has been fired once, glazed with non-toxic glaze, and raku fired with natural wood shavings for the amazing gifts of smoke and flame. Pocket Jizo are robust enough to go and and about with you, just not in the same pocket as keys or coins.
Jizo is a Japanese Shinto spirit, a kami who found his way to Japan through Buddhism. He is a guardian of women, children, and travellers; he comforts us through grief and bereavement.
Through my work, I hope to bring a little nature, peace, and gentleness into the world. I make all of my pieces entirely by hand with natural materials.
(I am happy to combine postage on all items. Please either message me before you order and I can create a custom listing, or just order and I'll refund any excess postage fees. Thank you!)
